Biography
Studied at the MIT Media Laboratory, where he graduated in 1996. He devised the concept of Photomosaics, a collage of thousands of photographs, and in 1995 created the software for computer graphics used to assemble them. His work focuses on portraits of significant historical and contemporary figures from a wide variety of fields. This new medium dazzled the art world as well as the industry of commercial graphics, drawing diverse clients such as IBM, Mastercard, and Disney. He has been commissioned to create covers for Life, Newsweek and Playboy magazines, and to create portraits of Vice President Al Gore, H. M. King Hussein of Jordan, and Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates.
