Antonio Gualupe, Dominican panter, was born in Moca, Dominican Republic in 1941. He studied painting with Poncio Salcedo. In 1959 he received a fellowship to study at therecebe uma bolsa para estudar na Academia Nacional de Belas Artes, sendo seu mestre Gilberto Hernández Ortega. In 1965, he changes to New York to study with the italian professor Prillo Grinilli, and afterwards he became professor of colour therapy. During this period he exhibited his works in important galleries of the city. In 1967 returned to Moca and founded the Vincent Van Gogh Academy, today the Fine Art School of Moca. Antonio Guadalupe showed frequently in solo and collective exhibitions at home and abroad. His most recent exhibition was at Martinica Isalnd. His works are part of international private collections.
