The stones, those round basalt pebbles found on the beaches in Madeira, are this artist’s favourite subject, which she paints on extremely large canvases.
She had two exhibitions at the Inquisição art gallery in 1998 and 1999 and at the Museu da Electricidade and Museu de Arte Contemporânea in Funchal. In 2000 her work was on show at Gare Marítima de Alcântara and in 2001 at Cordoaria Nacional in Lisbon. In 2002, her works were part of a collective exhibition in Barcelona and more recently, in 2006, at Palácio do Pombal (IADE) in Lisbon.
She is currently at the height of her career. She has several exhibitions scheduled for 2008 in Saudi Arabia, New York, Rome, New Delhi and Miami.
