Biography
Born in Pittsfield, Massachussets. Attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1960-65). Lives in Chicago, Illinois. His first exhibition was in Chicago in 1966. Nutt was regarded as a charter member of the so-called Chicago Imagists because he helped organize and took part in this group. At the time Pop was in vogue in the East Coast and most critics labeled Nutt according to his geographical location. He exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY, Nolan/Eckman Gallery, New York, NY, MoMA - Museum of Modern Art, Queens, NY, MCA Chicago.
