Born in Namur, Belgium, in 1935. Killed in a car accident in Zwijnaerde in 1972. Studied at the Namur Academy of Art and Brussels. At the same time studied at the Namur Academy of Art and at the Conservatoire of Brussels (drama) From 1955 à 1962, she lives in Paris where she plays several TV dramas and is part of the Group of Julien Bertheau. Cinema star of two films: "Il y a un train toutes les heures" (André Cavens) and "Le crocodile en peluche" (Jean Antoine). Back to Brussels, she dedicates herself to painting totally after 1963. René Magritte, her mentor, lintroduces her in oil painting. The strictly pictorial works of Axell were produced over the seven years from 1965 to 1972.
